2024 Hinamatsuri

The theme of this year's Hinamatsuri was "Re-Birth." This year marked the "turning point for the Detroit Institute of Arts," marking 10 years since the institution's bankruptcy. The centerpiece was "Re-Birth," a work by a young installation artist, and visitors were invited to decorate it with messages, such as wishes, creating a space for interaction between art and people. This is a unique feature of the Detroit Institute of Arts, a treasure trove of art. It was striking to see so many children playing under Re-Birth.
